Moor in the heart of Saddleworth

At Saddleworth Marina, we offer 16 moorings on floating pontoons in a sheltered, private marina located in Greenfield Saddleworth. Our moorings come with access to electricity (paid separately via a pay-as-you-go card), and we also provide pump-out services along with casual moorings.

Saddleworth Marina is situated on the historic Huddersfield Narrow Canal, which underwent restoration thanks to a dedicated campaign by local volunteers at the turn of the century. This beautiful canal was officially opened by HM King Charles III when he was Prince of Wales in 2001.

Our private marina is a tranquil haven, yet just a two-minute walk away, you'll find a large supermarket and a nearby pub serving food and drinks. This ideal location makes it easy to explore the local area, including the charming artisan markets, and is only a 10-minute stroll to picturesque Uppermill.

SADDLEWORTH MARINA CHRISTMAS MARKET

Following the success of Saddleworth Marina’s monthly craft and artisan markets, we are excited to announce the Marina Christmas market.

Packed with bakes, crafts, artisan products, free crafting for children and a fun fair - grab a mulled wine and watch the Christmas lights light up Greenfield’s marina.

Rumour has it that Santa Claus himself is bringing his own canal boat to the Marina to stop off at his Marina grotto. There will be opportunities to write a letter to Santa, make food for the reindeer and even visit the big man himself (ticketed entry to Santa’s grotto, letter writing and reindeer food making - tickets available for sale now at The Kingfisher pub for £15 including a special gift).

Join us from 11am for the Christmas market with the light switch on at 5pm.

You are very welcome to visit the private marina, which is publicly accessible. If you’d like to speak to us, please call us, as the marina is not staffed. While you're here, don't miss the chance to explore the artisan markets nearby and enjoy the scenic views of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
